Here's one we made earlier!

We've had a fantastic team day down at Filwood Green Business Park, at our digital manufacturing unit KWMC: The Factory. After we shared expertise about product design and development, we got stuck in to prototyping. One group of staff made a to-scale Media Centre! What's its purpose? You'll have to wait and see...

Filwood Gets Fit - Dot to Dot walk

Thanks to everyone who made the Dot to Dot walk on Saturday so much fun. We counted up the steps recorded by everyone's pedometers during the week and calculated that Knowle West had walked 150 miles! A great end to Filwood Gets Fit.

Filwood's getting fit

We're halfway through the health and fitness festival Filwood Gets Fit, and already we've had pop-up exercise sessions at local clubs, running, and free tasters happening across the community. One of my highlights happened on Monday morning, when the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr Faruk Chowdhury presented sports vouchers to children from Ilminster Avenue E-Act Academy for winning the logo competition. Look out for the photos in the next issue of the Knowledge newsletter!

Filwood Gets Fit - Run to Knowle West

We had a great day on the Novers Steps for Filwood Gets Fit yesterday. We challenged people to tackle the 96 steps and see who could get the fastest time - or scale them in the most imaginative way. The best time was just 27 seconds! If you enjoyed the event why not get into Bootcamp or join the local running club? Details at: http://www.knowlewest.co.uk/filwoodgetsfit

Tattoo parlour with a difference opens in Knowle West

We had a fantastic morning on Leinster Avenue unveiling a new mobile tattoo parlour. Rather than inking new designs, the parlour is collecting photos of people's body art and the stories behind them. Lots of wonderful, poignant stories have already been shared - why not add yours! More at http://kwmc.org.uk/projects/iwillalways/
